What jobs does Sternico offer in which specialisms?

Our focus is the development of software products for the railway industry and also projects for our customers in the railway world. We have expertise in computer science, vehicle technology / mechanical engineering and railways.

Which technologies are you currently using?

We develop our core product based on MS Azure, .Net Core and Angular. We also use Java and C++ for some products.

I can't find a suitable position. Does an unsolicited application make sense?

If you are interested in the railway world and have already worked in this environment or are working in the TechStack .Net, Java or C++, an unsolicited application makes perfect sense.

What information do you need from me to start a dialogue?

How do you organise your job interviews?

‘That wasn’t a typical job interview!’ a candidate once said. Then that’s probably the case. For us, the focus is on dialogue. It’s more about getting to know each other as equals and not about ‘interviews’ or ‘job interviews’

What is the best way to prepare for the interviews?

Be yourself and completely relaxed. In the technical part, we usually want to see something that you have developed yourself in terms of software or perhaps a concept that you have created.

Can I apply for more than one position?

Of course you can, but we always check our recruiting department to see if there are any other positions that might suit you. Sometimes we already know requirements from the specialist departments that have not yet been advertised. In this case, an unsolicited application, for example, makes sense – an initial interview in any case.

What does the application process look like for you and who do I get to know?

During the first contact, you will get to know a colleague from Recruiting. This is initially about a casual exchange.

How does our application process work?

Step 1

In a conversation with our recruiters, there is an initial exchange (via MS Teams) in which we can get to know each other, exchange expectations and discuss any open questions.
