What kind of apprenticeship can I do at Sternico?

You can currently train with us to become an IT specialist for application development.

How long does the apprenticeship last and what qualifications can I obtain at the end?

The apprenticeship to become an IT specialist for application development has a dual structure and lasts three years, with an IHK qualification. Depending on your previous experience and training progress, you can also shorten the apprenticeship.

Is there a possibility of being taken on at Sternico after completing the apprenticeship?

At Sternico, we train according to future needs and are very happy when our trainees stay with us.

What projects or customers has Sternico already supported, and what role can an apprentice play in this?

Our projects are our products, which are used by our customers in the railway world. As an apprentice, you will join a team of experienced software developers from the second year of training and will already be involved in developing the products.

What is the remuneration during the apprenticeship at Sternico?

The remuneration during the apprenticeship is:

1st year of training: € 950

2nd year of training: € 1,100

Your training will be accompanied by our trainer Felix and a mentor who will be on hand to help and advise you with any questions or problems. You receive regular feedback, so you always know where you stand.

Which vocational school do I go to and what is the relationship between school and work?

The school part is at the Otto Bennemann School (Alte Waage 2-3, 38100 Braunschweig). You are there 2 days a week and the other time you work in the company.
